Knife care
Your knife was handcrafted of choice materials, with great care and attention to detail. To keep your knife performing and looking like new, please consider the following:
-Do not leave knives and sheaths in direct sun or high heat. Ultraviolet light oxidizes woods and fades the natural colors. Heat bakes the protective oils out of most hardwoods and weakens adhesive bonds. Prolonged exposure to the sun and heat can also destroy knife sheaths-Kydex and Leather alike.
-To clean your knife, use light detergent and water-dry completely and immediately.
-Never oil your knife-oil attracts grit, dust and grime and can harm even the toughest finishes, including bare steel. Instead apply a quality ceramic hybrid wax or carnuba wax can to the blade and handle. This applys to Cerakote finishes as well.
-Never apply oils or waxes to leather sheaths-only use a quality leather conditione or protectant.
-Keep your knives sharp, by touching up on a steel or diamond rod. Do not wait until it is completely dull, as it will take more work to get back to like new condition. *I will resharpen your knives for a small fee plus shipping costs. This can be combine with other knives you may own and save on shipping charges.*
