No matter where you are in life, God is there for you. But you must seek Him.
Isaiah 55:6 declares, "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:" And the apostle Paul said in Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Isn't it amazing that God's word talks so much about 'seeking' something we cannot see? That is because seeking, or believing in God, requires FAITH. It's not easy to have faith in something we cannot see. Ask me how I know. For years I struggled believeing there even was a God. I went through my dad being divorced several times, living and being raised by my grandparents and never even knew who my mom was. Not to mention decades of failures of my own doing. But, all this changed when through my circumstances, God drew me to Him. The moment I felt the most alone in my life, desperate and abandoned, the only thing sure in my life, was that God was there. I cannot explain it, but I could most definitely feel it! I was broken and hopeless as I reached out and called out to Him...
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
